Residents resort to using river water

Mhluzi residents who have been without water for almost three weeks have resorted to using water from the river.

Residents Extension 5,6,7 Tokologo, Malope Village, Roberts Estate and parts of Aerorand have been without water for nearly three weeks due to a water supply pipeline failure.

Some people resorted to bathing in pools and doing their laundry in the Klein Olifants River near the Kees Taljaard Stadium.

Last Thursday and Friday the residents blocked roads.

Executive Mayor, Bagudi Tolo, made an appearance before the frustrated residents.

Water was restored in Extension 5,6,7 on Monday however some residents in Tokologo are still without water.
