Warrant issued for Sam Holdings millionaire after no show at court

Police are looking for Sam ‘Mshengu’ Chabalala after the Witbank Magistrate’s Court issued a warrant for his arrest yesterday.

This after he failed to appear in court on charges of fraud, corruption and the possession of an illegal firearm.

Chabalala was first arrested in September 2019 in eMalahleni on the charges mentioned above. He was granted R200 000 bail a week after his arrest.

He was re-arrested in Middelburg earlier this year after he allegedly tried to bribe a police officer to get his car out of the police pound and to stop the investigation.

After a lengthy bail hearing, Chabalala was granted bail of R500 000 in the Middelburg Magistrate’s court.

If anyone knows his whereabouts, they are requested to contact the investigating officer, Capt. Meyer on 071 481 2977 or Lt. Col Danie Hall on 071 481 3281.
