Municipal services suspended
The Steve Tshwete Local Municipality has publically announced the suspension of municipal services amid the COVID 19 outbreak.

Following the announcement by President Cyril Ramaphosa on measures to combat the COVID-19 epidemic, the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality has taken a decision to close the following municipal service centres with immediate affect:
•Licence Department
•Traffic Department
•Rates Hall
•Mhluzi and Kees Taljaard swimming pools
•All libraries
This decision is in line with the measures put in place by government to manage the spread of the disease, to protect citizens and to reduce the impact of the virus on society and the economy.
All payments of electricity, traffic fines, and municipal accounts will henceforth be done electronically by means of Prepaid 24, banks and fuel stations.
STLM wishes to apologise for the inconvenience and pleads for the cooperation of the community in curbing the spread of COVID-19.
