Total number of Covid-19 infections at 11 for Columbus Stainless

Columbus Stainless has recorded a total number of 11 positive cases of Covid-19.

According to a press release issued on 06 July by the CEO, Johan Strydom, three more employees have recently tested positive.
The three employees are based at the Human Resources Department, Technical Services and the Steel Plant.

The press release stipulated that during contact tracing, it was confirmed that the transmissions did not originate at Columbus Stainless and that most infections are a result of social contact outside the workplace.

All employees who have been in contact with the infected persons have been identified and isolated and the necessary santisation and fumigation processes have been executed.

Mr Strydom also announced that four of their employees who previously contracted the virus have made a full recovery and have returned to work.
