A truck transporting pigs overturned next to the N4.

A number of the pigs were seriously injured and will be euthanised.

The SPCA and emergency services are on the scene.

It was chaos to try and keep the pigs away from the N4.

The pigs is said to belong to Ede Farming and there were 208 pigs on the truck.

Motorists travelling on the N4 are urged to approach the affected section of the highway with utmost caution.
