Jarod agrees to go to Zebulun, needs a lift to Meyerton

Jarod O'Connor has accepted the help offered to him by Zebulun Lifestyle and Development Centre.

The heroin addicted beggar wants to get off the streets but says that every time he successfully completed rehabilitation, he relapses because he has no where to go and no one to support him on his road to recovery.

Jarod has been in rehab seven times.

Zebulun is not your ordinary rehabilitation centre, but offers intensive post rehabilitation support with personality skills training and courses to set visitors up with qualifications and a job.

Jarod wants to go but has no way of getting there since Zebulun does not do pickups.
The Centre is situated in Meyerton.

Ms Monica Carstens now wants to start a fund raising to get Jarod to Zebulun, if there’s no offer from kind hearted residents traveling to Gauteng to take Jarod along.

“He is willing to go and with level 2 restrictions in place, there’s no need for a special permit to move Jarod between the provinces, all we need now is a lift,” Ms Carstens told www.mobserver.co.za.

Ms Carstens has already spoken to centre management who inist that Jarod will be assisted for free, if he can only get there.

Residents who are willing to assist Jarod with a lift, can contact gerhard@mobserver.co.za for arrangements.
