Operation Basadi launched with a song and dance

Officers of the Middelburg SAPS and Traffic Department launched into their female driven operation in honour of women's month.

Operation Basadi kicked off at the corner of Walter Sisulu-and Nelson Mandela Drive, where motorists were privy to some spirited frivolity, as female officers opened with a dance in the center of the busy intersection.

The officers are diligently monitoring weekend traffic, coming to and leaving Middelburg, where a road block has been stationed.

The purpose of the operation is to display the active role female officers play in law enforcement.

An appeal to caution is made to all motorists approaching the area.
