According to information, the victim alleges that she was called by her ex-boyfriend at around 22:20 on Sunday 16 August. He informed her that he had assaulted her new boyfriend.

The woman rushed to her ex-boyfriend. She found him sitting in his car with her current boyfriend sitting in the passenger seat.

It is alleged that her ex ordered her into the car, slapped her with an open hand and drove with her to the Middelburg graveyard. He drove her home and let both people go a while later.

Capt. Khanyisile Zwane, Middelburg police spokesperson, confirmed the incident saying that the victim escaped without injuries and that a suspect has been arrested in connection with the matter.
