Cash reward offered for puppy stolen in Kanonkop this morning

The owners of a five month old Pekingese puppy is franticly pleading for information after their dog was stolen from their yard this morning.

According to Chris van der Walt, the theft occurred just before 07:00 at their house in Palm Street in front of eyewitnesses. One eyewitness said that she saw a woman wearing pink and black clothing taking the dog and running in the direction of Dennesig. Another eyewitness, who was busy going through black refuse bags in a nearby street, said that she saw a woman walking with the dog in her arms and asked her where she got it from. The woman told her that her employer gave her the dog to which the witness replied that she was lying because it looks like an expensive dog. The thief ran away in the direction of the duck pond between Kanonkop and Dennesig. Wollie is described as a chocolate brown puppy with black ears. He is very friendly and will go to anyone that calls him. “We suspect that is how he was lured out of our yard,” Mr Van der Walt said. Anyone with information is urged to call Chris on 079 932 4379 or Carike on 082 553 1827. A cash reward of R1 000 is offered to the person with information that leads to the capture of the thief and the recovery of Wollie.
