Door-to-door survey rolled out
The Steve Tshwete Local Municipality will be conducting a door-to-door survey on water and electricity meters for accurate billing of accounts.

Field workers are set to start the door-to-door survey’s today.
The survey is meant to verify residents’ details on the financial management system.
The field workers will also take pictures of the water and electricity meters.
The municipality said the field workers will present their identification cards and a public notice relating to the survey before conducting the survey.
They also added that they are aware of the bogus door-to-door surveyors defrauding residents.
Under no circumstances should residents pay surveyors.
The annual survey is cost-free to residents.
Residents are urged to report bogus surveyors to the South African Police Service.
The survey will be conducted in the following wards today: 19, 21, 22, 23, 24,25, 26, 27, 28 and 29.
