Body found with hands and feet tied with barbed wire

The decomposed body of a man whose hands and feet were tied behind his back with barbed wire, was found in a field on the farm Gelukplaas near Berg en Dal in the Belfast district.

The corpse was discovered at about 18:00 last night (17 December).

The body is in such a state of decomposition that it is not yet determined what the cause of death was or how long. It is suspected that the body was lying there more than a month.

The unidentified man is believed to be between the age of 40 and 50 years.

The body was found clothed in a blue overall jacket with the name “Protekon” on it, a purple waistcoat and a black denim. A navy blue mask with silver, glimmering stripes was covering his face.
