DMR to investigate Polmaise explosion

The Department of Mineral Resources will be launching an investigation into the explosion that claimed two lives at the old Polmaise Mine (Kego Resources), yesterday morning.

According to company representative, Mr Attie van Wyk, the cause of the explosion has not yet been determined.

It could be confirmed that the explosion led to the injury of one person and the death of two others.

One of the deceased has been identified as 25 year-old Brandon Hyde Jarvis, the son of a well known police offer, W.O Robert Jarvis.

The identity of the other deceased victim has not yet been made known.
