The collection of a body is underway in Kranspoort where another heavy duty truck has crashed.

Only single lanes are open to traffic after a truck lost control on the pass around 14:00.

The pass is still being cleared of debris from the accident. Recovery personnel are still busy on the scene.

Motorists are urged to approach the pass with caution. According to eyewitnesses on the scene, the truck driver lost his life, after losing control of the runaway truck, descending the pass.

No one else was injured.
