She has been working there for the past 38 years and went on pension in December.

• A surprise party was held for her at Wonderpark Wimpy. One of the owners, Mr Quintin Vorster, attended, as well as all the managers and staff of Wonderpark Wimpy and Midwater Wimpy.

• Thembi thanked Mr Vorster, Mr and Mrs Dawie and Melanie Rossouw for the farewell party and their support through the years.
