Head-on collision claimed five lives

The head-on collision that occurred this morning on the Loskop Road (N11) claimed five lives.

The accident happened near the Maroela Pub & Grill at about 09:00. It involved a BMW X5 that was travelling to Groblersdal and a Pajero that was heading to Middelburg. The Pajero was carrying Norma Scott, Antony Scott, Phenuel Dongole and Likavha Ndibuho, who were on their way to retrieve a stolen vehicle in Middelburg.

Norma Scott and Anthony Scott, from Makhado, was pronounced dead on the scene while Phenuel Dongole and Likavha Ndibuho were transported to the Groblersdal Provincial hospital. The BMW was carrying four people, three passengers died on the scene and the driver of the vehicle, Lucky Mike Ngozo was transported to the Middelburg Provincial Hospital for medical treatment. • The three people that were travelling in the BMW have not been identified.
