BREAKING: Police disperse crowd at Mayor Bagudi Tolo’s funeral

Mayor Yolo passed away in the early hours of Tuesday morning after contracting Covid-19 late December.

Www.mobserver.co.za has received a number of complaints from residents who says the number of attendees at  the funeral of of Mayor Bagudi Tolo today, far exceeded the maximum allowed number of 50 funeralgoers.

It spurred police to disperse the funeralgoers.

It has also been confirmed that an ANC Youth League member has been arrested for not wearing a mask at the funeral.

Mayor Yolo passed away in the early hours of Tuesday morning after contracting Covid-19 late December.

The funeral was attended by a number of mayors, including the mayors of eMalahelni and Emakhazeni.

The number of people who visited the Hero’s Acre in Gholfsig where Mayor Tolo is being buried also exceeded the allowed number of 50 people for funeral gatherings.
