Deputy Minister of Education visits Doornkop

It’s all systems go for schools in Middelburg and its surrounding areas.

The Deputy Minister of Basic Education, Reginah Mhaule, and the Mpumalanga MEC of Education, Bonakele Majuba, visited Mhkulu Combined School on Monday.
The education officials monitored the quintile 1 school to see if it was complying with Covid-19 regulations.

Grade 10 learner Nomcebo Sibanyoni expressed her excitement about returning to school for the first time this year even though Covid-19 has made it difficult for everyone.

MEC Majuba and Deputy Minister Mhaule both said they were impressed with how the educators and learners were complying with the Covid-19 regulations.
The Mpumalanga Premier, Refilwe Mtsweni, also went to visit Sofunda Secondary School.

Members from the municipality’s mayoral committee, Diphale Motsepe and Mondli Itumeleng Kgalema, also paid a visit to Sozama Secondary School to monitor the school’s Covid-19 compliance.
