Groep wat bome afsaag gearresteer

Inwoners van Dennesig is bekommerd oor persone wat bloekombome afsaag en wegdra in Harry Gwalastraat.

Daar het pas weer ’n inwoner laat weet dat daar ’n groot trok staan, wat besig is om die stompe te laai.

Rdl. Johann Dyason het soontoe gejaag en dadelik die parke-afdeling van die munisipaliteit in kennis gestel.

Alhoewel dit onwettig is om die bome af te saag, is die groep wat die stompe oplaai, laat begaan, aangesien die stompe al sowat twee weke gelede afgesaag is.

Volgens rdl. Dyason het hy die groep twee weke gelede op heterdaad betrap wat die bome afgesaag het.

Die verkeerspolisie het uitgekom, beslag gelê op die saagtoerusting en die groep gearresteer.

“Die groep van vanoggend is maar laat begaan, omdat die stompe in elk geval net daar rondlê, maar as iemand wéér gevang word wat die bome afsaag, sal hulle ook aangekla en beboet word,” het rdl. Dyason gesê.
