Case of murder opened for Loskop body
Another murder mystery has surfaced after the body of a suspected male was discovered with very little information to lead with.
On Tuesday afternoon, at around 16:00, a civilian on foot in the Loskop area, ran towards the Damwal Filling Station, to alert authorities of his gruesome discovery.
The civilian then led law enforcers to the location, situated along the Olifants River, next to the N11 and in close proximity to the Loskop dam wall.
The body, due to its large size, is suspected to be that of a male, but because of the severe state of decomposition, no identifiable traits like race, could be determined.
According to Daller journalist Janine Saayman, who was at the scene, the body was wearing a Transnet shirt.

He was found with a gunshot wound to the head and his hands tied behind his back, on a patch of grass which according to photographs, appears to have been scorched.
The recent discovery sounds very similar to another incident that occurred in the Waterval-Boven area, where a man covered in exotic tattoos, measuring at a length of 2.05 metres and 140kgs was shot multiple times execution-style, and buried in a shallow grave.
The Machadodorp SAPS sought the help of the public in the hopes that family members could come forward to help identify him. Since the time of publishing in November 2020, no one has come forward and the man remains unidentified.
•www.mobserver.co.za contacted both the Middelburg SAPS as well at provincial spokesperson, Brigadier Leonard Hlathi, but no response has been received.
It was confirmed however, that a case of murder is being investigated by the Middelburg SAPS.
