Prominent Lutheran reverend to be laid to rest in Middelburg

He was born and raised in Middelburg.

Middelburg will bid a sad farewell to Reverend Manqoba Zungu, who passed away in hospital in eMalahleni on Monday.

Manqoba grew up in Mhluzi, where he later joined the St Peter’s Confessional Lutheran Church.

At the time of his passing, he was leading one of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of South Africa’s many branches in eMalahleni.

He passed away peacefully in the hospital.

A memorial Service will be held today at 14:00 at St Peter’s Confessional Lutheran Church.

Manqoba’s funeral will be held tomorrow (June 27) at the Mhlotsi Congregation in Middelburg.
