Armed robbery at cafe

A group of armed robbers have stuck at a cafe in Cowen Ntuli Street this evening.

According to information gathered at the scene, an unknown number of suspects driving a white VW Polo targeted the Constantia Cafe which is located on the corner of Klip and Cowen Ntuli Street, an area nefarious for open prostitution and vagrancy.

Reports that the shop owner was shot were strongly refuted at the scene.

The SAPS, community policing members and Mid Alarms reaction officers responded to the scene where shaken civilians were still inside the shop as police conducted an investigation.

Www.mobserver.co.za approached store management who declined to comment.
