Sipho spreads his wings

A driven father of three from Tokologo has built an electricity powered aircraft with sound system.

Sipho Molemi(40) was disappointed earlier this year when he felt over looked at an art competition in Mbombela.
He channeled his disappointment to designing a model aircraft to show off his talent.

He started building the craft in October.

Sipho is not new to building sculptures, his love for art started in primary school.

He now creates sculptures for a living.

I have been working as a journalist/photographer since 2018 at the Middelburg Observer. Before joining Caxton I was a Journalism Student at the Tshwane University of Technology. I was also a broadcasting intern at the SABC in Pretoria. In my first year as a journalist I was awarded the Upcoming Journalist of the Year at the O H Frewin awards.
