Top on their list of favourite audiences, the Middelburg community was treated with a final performance by Frank and I, a South African band fast on the rise in the international music industry.

Ms Carin du Plessis, a local booking agent who is at the helm of their tour, explained that Frank and I decided to end their year tour in Middelburg, in a bid to thank the community for their unwavering support.

A special performance was held on Thursday evening at the AGS Lighuis Church in Aerorand.

Ms Du Plessis assured the Middelburg Observer that the band will return to Middelburg in the new year and that the duo have already set some time aside for our community, despite a busy schedule.

Frank and I will be embarking on a new tour, called the Forgiven Tour, which consists of an outreach mission that visits schools, churches and other institutions.

The tour will be showcased in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, The Free State, as well as Mauritius, before the duo leaves for America next year in July.

Middelburg is also on their list for an upcoming ‘Praise in the Park’ performance in March.

Frank and I are a band made up of two local musicians, Johan Brits and Frank Furniss, both prominent singers, songwriters and producers in the music industry.

Frank and Johan met during a show in Cape Town, which ultimately led to them combining forces.

The duo has since gone from strength to strength and have done several performances both on local soil, as well as in Nashville.

Johan Brits has been in the music industry for 12 years, where he worked as a singer, songwriter and producer.

He has performed in various Gospel Skouspel shows and has written songs for artists like Rouchelle Leidemann, Desmond Wells and Hugo Nieuwoudt.

Frank Furniss has worked in the music industry for more than 20 years as a guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer and worship leader.

During his career, Frank has shared the stage with icons including Queen, Will Smith, Annie Lennox and Katie Melua.
