Street barricaded after armed robbery at Ultra Liquors

The condition of the wounded victim remains undetermined.

The armed business robbery that resulted in a victim being wounded took place at Ultra Liquors and authorities are at the scene where investigations are underway.

Middelburg Observer journalists at the scene have confirmed that the section of SADC Street between Shoprite and Home Affairs have been barricaded as part of the crime scene and is closed for traffic and pedestrians.

Two ambulances responded to the scene after initial reports suggested that one victim was wounded during the robbery.

It is believed that the suspects have fled in the direction of Correctional Services in John Magagula Street.
