More time to enter for Loskop Marathon

The perfect time and place to prepare for the Comrades!

Runners have even more time to enter the Loskop Marathon with the closing of entries extended until April 3.

The widely celebrated event will be taking place on May 6 for the first time since Covid-19, and runners can take part in the 50km Loskop Marathon or the 21km Wild Challenge through the Loskop Nature Reserve.

Race organiser Hein Koch urged runners preparing for the Comrades to sign up, adding that the Loskop Marathon is the perfect opportunity to qualify.

“The Loskop Marathon shares the same route profile as the Comrades and it offers the perfect opportunity to do some long, slow-distance training. The road will be closed to traffic, water points will be available, and it is an hour and a half’s drive from Johannesburg.”

Runners can register for the Loskop Marathon by visiting www.loskopmarathon.co.zaloskop@peaktiming.co.za, or through the Middelburg Marathon Club.

Runners opting to enter through the MMC are asked to please email heink@mrclean.co.za for entry forms.
