Students protest: Stun grenades thrown by police

Disgruntled students protest over NSFAS funding.

Police threw stun grenades to disperse Nkangala TVET College students earlier today (Thursday).

The students staged a protest over the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) not paying their monthly allowances.

Quarterly tests were suspended due to the protests.

The students protested from their main campus on Brug Street to the Skills campus on Meyer Street.
