CMR launches winter blanket drive
Winter is fast approaching and Middelburg's homeless are already seeking shelter from the cold.
CMR Middelburg has proactively launched their winter blanket drive and you can make a difference by donating blankets to the destitute.
Ms. Thelma Pretorius from CMR Middelburg is appealing to residents to assist the organisation by donating any blankets, clothing and non-perishable foods.
Their organisation has a BBBEEE status and an article 18A tax refundable certificate can be acquired when donations are made.
“The option is also available to make cash donations and then stipulate what the funding is to be used for, should donors not wish to do the shopping themselves.¨
Donations can be delivered at the CMR office in Plein Street from Mondays to Fridays between 07:30 and 16:00.
