Kranspoort Pass open, but slippery
Two motorists sustained critical injuries in the collision that took place on Saturday afternoon.
The Kranspoort Pass is open for traffic but motorists are advised to approach with caution due to a slippery road surface.
The notorious route was closed following a collision involving two trucks and a bakkie that resulted in a dangerous oil spill at roughly 15:00 on Saturday.
The road closure was extended until Sunday to allow a clean-up operation to commence, with only one lane open for light motor vehicles.

According to Mr Koos Kleinsmith from De Voetpadkloof Lodge, while the pass is open, the road surface remains slippery from the oil spill.
Louwtjie Swart from Van Wettens Towing Services confirmed that the pass is open.
He also wished to thank everyone who assisted in the clean-up of the scene.
