A fetus has been found in the vicinity of Zuid Street.

Police have launched an investigation, urging community members, who may have witnessed the incident, to come forward with information.

The developed body was found in a black bag close to Celsius Street.

The bag, containing the remains, was dumped in an open veld in the area.

Police are investigating a case of concealment of pregnancy.

Post mortem exams will determine the fetus’ stage of development, as well as race, and other medical determinations.

Residents in the area with CCTV cameras should also please check footage.

The discovery was made earlier today.

Police have not released any more information.
