MCC hosts Classic Stroke Play Champs

The Middelburg Country Club will be hosting the Mpumalanga Classic Stroke Play Championships on May 13 and 14.

The championships will be played under the rules of golf as approved by the South African Golf Association (SAGA).

Entries are open to any male amateur golfer who is a club member affiliated with a union recognised by SAGA and has a current handicap of 12 or less.

The championships will be played over 54 holes stroke play, 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday. The field on Sunday will be limited to 50 players returning the best 36 hole scores.

Entries can only be made online to the MGU President at coeniedupreez67@gmail.com. Forms can be found on www.mgu.co.za. A fee of R600 must be paid at the registration desk on day one.

The closing date for entries is noon on May 8.

The draw and starting times will be available on May 10 at all union offices.
