Shots fired as eMalahleni riots intensify

Motorists are cautioned that the riot action gripping the N4 eMalahleni have intensified and that reports of gunfire was received.

Reports from National Crime Assist were received that motorists are to avoid eMalahleni downtown, CBD, Lynville and Schoongesight all of which have been closed down by rioters and that shots were fired.

The N4 also remains closed.
