Accident on N4 to eMalahleni

Update: 30 individuals were involved in the crash involving a taxi and an ambulance.

An accident has occurred on the Van Dyksdrift off-ramp leading to the N4 on the way to eMalahleni.

The Middelburg Observer cannot confirm any serious injuries, however, according to a medical WhatsApp group chat, it is thought up to 15 individuals could be involved.

The van flipped on its side.

The road is partially open to all vehicles, with one lane closed for officials to clear the wreckage

Extreme caution is advised, as roads are wet and slippery, with poor visibility due to heavy rain.
