Police van crashes on infamous ‘hospital corner’

The van crashed through the fence of the Middelburg Provincial Hospital.

The heavy downpour has caused havoc on the roads with several accidents reported throughout the day.

In the most recent incident, a police van lost control on the notorious corner near the Middelburg Provincial Hospital on Walter Sisulu Street.

According to information gathered at the scene, the driver lost control due to heavy rainfall resulting in the vehicle leaving the road and crashing into the fence.

No serious injury was sustained.

Motorists are advised to approach with caution as one lane was closed for vehicle recovery.
