Three armed men steal R500 000 generator

Suspects are still at large.

Three armed men have stolen a grey 88KVA generator that is valued at R500 000 from Mass Hire Middelburg.

Pistols were aimed at security, as the suspects then tied up the guards and entered the premises. They the attached the generator onto a bakkie that had no licence plates.

The bakkie used during the alleged crime.

No security personal were injured during the incident.

The incident took place today at 17:15.

The generator that was stolen.

Mass Hire Middelburg is situated opposite SG Coal at 11 Hektaar Street in the industrial area.

The same vehicle was used to steal a compressor.

The same exact vehicle is thought to have stolen a compressor in eMalahleni on May 7.

The generator’s registration number is AA9B225BMGHWX1052-HWY169MP (GEN88.3).
