Inquest opened after man is crushed by trailer

An inquest has been opened by the South African Police after a man was killed in a freak accident in the industrial area.

It has been reliably confirmed that the man was killed after being crushed by a trailer in Celsius Street, late on Wednesday afternoon.

Kutana Hydraulics refuted initial reports that the incident occurred at their company, stating that the accident took place in an open yard opposite their establishment. The yard is used by a number of businesses for storage purposes, including businesses that do heavy lifting.

The man’s identity remains unknown.
