Potential sinkhole threat on Lilian Ngoyi Street

A potential sinkhole has formed on Lilian Ngoyi Street between the Oaks Centre and McDonald’s. Caution is advised to all drivers travelling on the road.

A collapse could be imminent, posing a significant danger to residents in the busy area of town.

The road is currently open, with no construction as of yet to fix the suspected broken pipes situated underneath the road.

This potential sinkhole has created a small crater where water is pooling, causing further sinking.

Sinkholes have the potential to swallow buildings whole and cause injuries and even fatalities.
