Crash involving police van wipes out street light, transformer

An early morning collision involving a police van and a public vehicle is affecting traffic on the busy Walter Sisulu Street.

According to information gathered at the scene, the collision took place on the Walter Sisulu- and Ngwako intersection.

The police van crashed through the wall of the property situated on the corner and a street light and transformer box was collided into. The van’s canopy was also ripped off of the back of the van, coming to rest on the premises on the corner.

Three people sustained injuries and were transported to hospital.
