First Midack Athletics Club race set for tomorrow

The Midack Athletics Club is set to begin 2024 with a bang as the Midack Night Race will take place tomorrow at 18:00.

The race will start at the Kees Taljaard Stadium in Kanonkop, where medals will be given to all race finishers.
Entries will be available at Kees Taljaard from 16:45 tomorrow.

To enter the 10km event, an R80 fee is required, while the 4.9km event will require a R40 entry fee. A temporary licence will cost R40.

In the 10km open category, prize money of up to R400 will be given to those who finish on the podium, while subsequent prizes of R150 will be given to the first place achiever in the following categories: 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70–79, juniors and walkers.

The cut-off time for the race is 110 minutes, so make sure you finish in order to attend the prize-giving set to be held at 19:30.
