President Cyril Ramaphosa visits Middelburg’s new provincial hospital

President Ramaphosa was given a tour through the yet-to-be-opened hospital, remarking on the structure’s state-of-the-art design.

As part of the District Development Model Presidential Imbizo, President Cyril Ramaphosa visited Middelburg’s new provincial hospital.

President Ramaphosa was welcomed by a distinguished crowd consisting of Steve Tshwete Executive Mayor Mhlonishwa Masilela, Nkangala District Mayor Thomas Ngwenya, Premier of Mpumalanga Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane and Minister of Home Affairs Aaron Motsoaledi, among others.

The tour lasted for an hour, as the president was then greeted by a horde of Enza Construction workers, eagerly awaiting their chance to meet the campaigning official.

President Ramaphosa will now make his way to eMalahleni, as he is set to speak publicly at the Sy Mthimunye Stadium later today.

This is the president’s second visit to Middelburg in as many years, as the ANC leader looks to drum up support in Mpumalanga ahead of this year’s national elections.
