Bakkie rams into ambulance; culprit flees

An ER24 ambulance overturned at the corner of SADC Street and Walter Sisulu Street shortly after 20:00.

According to information gathered at the scene, there were two paramedics in the vehicle on the way to pick up a patient when their vehicle collided with an Isuzu vehicle.

The ambulance overturned, and the Isuzu fled the scene.

The bakkie fled the scene after the crash.

One of the paramedics sustained minor injuries during the accident.

Paramedics, traffic officers and the police are currently on the scene.
