Zuma absent ahead of general election

Former President Jacob Zuma was a no-show at several different uMkhonto we Size rallies across the country this past weekend, including a scheduled appearance at Middelburg's uKhamba Industrial Park.

According to the eNCA, Zuma was slated to make face at rallies in the Western Cape, Northern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal over the weekend, but failed to arrive in the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.

Including his Middelburg address, Zuma failed to appear at rallies across three separate provinces.

MK members told the eNCA the party leader’s flight from the Northern Cape was delayed.

Zuma was announced to give the keynote address at the Provincial People’s Mandate Launch that was to be live-streamed on Facebook, however, the former president’s failure to appear caused delays and disruption in the assembly’s programme.
