Petrol prices to decrease this August

Great news! Petrol prices are to see a reduction yet again this month.

The Department of Petroleum and Mineral Resources have officially confirmed that petrol prices are set to decrease yet again, with the changes to come into effect on August 7.

Both Petrol 93 and Petrol 95 is set to have a decrease of 15 cents per litre.

Diesel 0.05 percent will see a reduction of 28 cents per litre, with diesel 0.005 percent costing 17 cents per litre less.

But without further ado, here are the new inland prices:

  • Petrol 93 – R22.71
  • Petrol 95 – R23.11
  • Diesel 0.05 percent – R20.38
  • Diesel 0.005 percent – R20.74
  • Illuminating Paraffin – R14.80

The coastal prices:

  • Petrol 93 – R21.92
  • Petrol 95 – R22.32
  • Diesel 0.05 percent – R19.59
  • Diesel 0.005 percent – R19.98
  • Illuminating Paraffin – R13.80
