Fleeing thief apprehended, handed over to police

Reaction officers were in hot pursuit of a thief who broke into two houses in Dr Beyers Naudé Street this morning.

Several security companies were involved in the chase after the criminal scaled fences at Steelcrest High School in his attempt to escape.

According to Hans du Preez, owner of Titon Security, the suspect allegedly broke into two homes.

Reaction officers and community members patrolled the area, and the suspect was finally apprehended.

The suspect was handed over to the SAPS.
