Remains of unidentified man found on farm near Doornkop

The badly decomposed body of a deceased man was found on a farm near Doornkop last Friday.

The gruesome discovery was made at roughly 16:30 by a cattle herder in a ditch on a farm named Elandslaagte, a short distance from Mkhulu Combined School.

The man had dreadlocks and wore stone-washed jeans and white and maroon boxer shorts.

Due to the severe state of decomposition and damage to the remains by wild animals, the cause of death and the man’s identity are undetermined.
It is believed that the person could have died about a month ago.

Anyone missing a loved one matching the provided information is asked to contact the Middelburg Police Station.

• It could safely be ruled out that the remains are not connected to the arrest of an Elandslaagte farmer and his security guard for the alleged murder of two victims.
