Suspect evades arrest for 9 years, SAPS asks assistance
The SAPS is asking for help to locate a suspect facing theft charges.
According to a media statement issued by the Dullstroom police, a warrant of arrest was issued on February 10, 2015, by the Belfast Magistrate’s Court for Makotla Lakios Malapane (43) from Doornkop, outside Middelburg.
The 43-year-old suspect is wanted for a theft committed on December 26, 2014, in Dullstroom after allegedly stealing a TLB (registration: CK93KWGP) from Heavy Metals Plant Hire, a company he was working for at the time.
A case was opened, and the TLB was recovered at Boshoek in Pretoria, but Malapane was never found and has been on the run.
It is believed that he might be around Middelburg or eMalahleni.
The police in Dullstroom request assistance from anyone with information to help locate Malapane.
