Sombu to be laid to rest this weekend

Murdered Nkangala District Municipality’s Chief Communications Manager, David Masombuka, will be laid to rest this Saturday.

His body was found in the bushes near the Verena road on Sunday after his family reported him missing.

His family began worrying about him when he did not arrive at an IDP meeting, and they were notified about suspicious transactions in his bank account.

His family reported him missing at Kwamhlanga Police Station as well as the Witbank SAPS after they were told by the tracking company that his vehicle was last located near a petrol station in eMalahleni.

The police arrested Guillie Ugamu Ngulela (19), Paulus Nyambiri (36), and Orlando Napasa (31), who have since appeared at the eMalahleni Magistrate’s Court on charges of murder.

They will remain in custody until October 11.

Masombuka’s son, Mfundo, said his father will be laid to rest in KwaMhlanga, and his memorial service will take place at the KwaMhlanga Community Hall at 11:00.
