Mother alleges kidnapping in missing 12-year-old’s case

The mother of a 12-year-old boy who disappeared yesterday with her life partner has changed the missing persons’ case to kidnapping.

The missing 12-year-old boy and his mother’s life partner were seen in Bethal.

Ms Lynn Zimmerman just contacted the Middelburg Observer and said that she changed the missing persons’ report, to kidnapping.

Her son, Dante, went to Kanonkop Spar with her life partner, Jacques de Winnaar (36), yesterday to buy dinner and never returned home.

Ms Zimmerman mentioned that people contacted her and said they saw them yesterday afternoon at the ATM at Kanonkop Spar and later at Springbok Cafe.

The latest information was that they were seen in Bethal, where Mr De Winnaar apparently begged for money.

Ms Zimmerman says Dante has a form of Asperger’s Syndrome “and he would do anything he is told. He is also very tall for his age and people might think he is older.”

She suspects that they are on their way to Standerton.

Any sightings should be reported to Ms Zimmerman on 071 200 0631.
