Scattered storms and potential rain today, 71% chance of rain tomorrow
Potential rain will bring a sigh of relief to many, as Middelburg has experienced a seemingly unusual dry beginning to the summer.
Our town’s prayers may finally be answered today or tomorrow, with potential rainfall predicted by The Weather Channel (TWC) and the South African Weather Service (SAWS).
TWC expects scattered thunderstorms and an over 40% chance of rain throughout the afternoon.
The expected rainfall will peak at 14:00, with a 57% estimate of it pouring.
SAWS predicts showers and thundershowers between 14:00 to 20:00 today, with 5mm of total rainfall.
Dissenting opinions
AccuWeather offers a dissenting opinion, with only a 7% chance of rainfall throughout the day.
They also expect the weather to remain partly cloudy for most of the afternoon.
AccuWeather also expects a 71% chance of rain tomorrow.
YahooWeather agrees with this estimation of a 7% chance of rainfall, and with the 71% chance of rain tomorrow.
