Serious accidents on the N4 and Stoffberg Road

Two serious accidents have taken place this morning. One on the N4, and another on the Stoffberg Road.

Stoffberg Road

An accident between a truck and a light motor vehicle took place on the Stoffberg Road this morning, with an ambulance at the scene to transport patients to hospital.

The incident took place at roughly 11:00, just past the Laersdrift Police Station, and was shared on the Traffic Alert WhatsApp group.

The light motor vehicle sustained heavy damage, as it can be seen entangled in nearby fencing.

Two separate accidents have taken place on the N4, both past the Middelburg/eMalahleni tollgate, direction eMalahleni.

The first took place between the Midwest Weighbridge and Olifants River and is said to be a very serious accident.

TRAC N4 first stated that the Weighbridge fast lane was closed over an hour ago, and has just reconfirmed that it is still closed, as recovery is underway.

Motorists travelling toward eMalahleni are urged to proceed with extreme caution or seek alternative routes.

The Traffic Alert WhatsApp group stated that the other accident took place just before the initial accident, closer to the tollgate.
