Lightning spark causes fire in Aerorand home

The blaze was caused by lightning shortly after 17:00.

A fire caused by lightning occurred at a townhouse in Seinheuwel Street, Aerorand.

The homeowner said the fire department and police arrived at the scene within 15 minutes.

They thanked the fire department for their speedy response.

Fortunately, no injuries occurred; the ceiling of the house did, however, sustain damage.

Neighbours also offered help to the homeowner.
